Enroll a Node via the Lighthouse Web UI
Note: Enrollment via Lighthouse Web UI only works if the node is reachable from Lighthouse.
To enroll a node:

In the Header Pane, click
Enroll Node.
The ENROLL NODES dialog displays. -
From the Product Type drop-down, select the type of node to enrol.
You can select from:-
Opengear device
-
Generic third party device
-
Avocent ACS6000
-
Avocent ACS8000
-
Avocent ACS Classic
-
Cisco 2900 Series
-
Digi Passport
Note: The rest of the fields in the ENROL NODES dialog update depending on the Product Type selected.

Complete the following fields as appropriate:
Note: Unless otherwise specified, the field displays for all Product Types.
Field Description Name Enter the node name.
This field displays for all product types except Opengear device.Network Address Enter the network address for the node. Connection Method Select the connection method to use from the drop-down: SSH or Telnet.
This field displays for product type Generic third party device only.Username Enter the username of the node being enrolled.
Note: The Username field is for the login credentials required by the remote node being enrolled, not the login credentials used to login to the Lighthouse instance.
Authentication Method Select the authentication method from: - Password: If you select this method, you must also enter the Password.
- SSH Key: If you select this method, the SSH Public Key field displays.
Password Enter the password of the node being enrolled.
Note: The Password field is for the login credentials required by the remote node being enrolled, not the login credentials used to login to the Lighthouse instance.
For a product type of Opengear devices, this field always displays.
For all other product types, this field displays only if the Authentication Method is set to Password.SSH Public Key Use the Copy content icon to copy the public key to the clipboard, or use the
Download icon to download the public key, then follow the appropriate steps in the user guide for the selected Product Type, to add the SSH Public Key to the device.
Important: Ensure that you complete this BEFORE you move to the next step.
This field displays for all product types except Opengear device, when the Authentication method is set to SSH Key.Subscription Type Select the subscription type. Each type shows the number of available subscriptions. Auto approve enrollment If required, select the check box to enable auto approved enrollment for the node. Run pre-enrollment connectivity check If required, select the check box to run a pre-enrollment connectivity check. Base Protocol Port Enter the base number from which network ports for individual serial ports will be derived.
This field displays for product type Generic third party device only.Port Count Enter the number of ports on the node.
The number entered here determines how many Port Label X fields display in the Serial Port Labels section.
This field displays for product type Generic third party device only.Serial Port Labels Use the Port Label X fields to enter the serial port labels to use on the node.
The number of port labels that display is based on the Port Count.
This section and fields display for product type Generic third party device only. -
Click Enroll Node.
When enrolled, the details for the console server are removed from theNodes > PENDING tab and added to the
Nodes > ENROLLED tab.
